ChemInform Abstract: Acceleration Effect of Allylic Hydroxy Group on Ring‐Closing Enyne Metathesis of Terminal Alkynes: Scope and Application to the Synthesis of Isofagomine.
Abstract:It is discovered that an allylic hydroxy group on enyne substrates [cf. (Ia)] efficiently accelerates the process without the need for an ethylene atmosphere. The product (IIa) is successfully transformed to isofagomine (X). -(IMAHORI*, T.; OJIMA, H.; TATEYAMA, H.; MIHARA, Y.; TAKAHATA*, H.; Tetrahedron Lett. 49 (2008) 2, 265-268; Fac. Pharm.
