Abstract

Autoxidation of Cycloalkenes by the System "Molecular Oxygen-bis(acetylacetonato) Cobalt(II) Complex-butyraldehyde". -Chloromethylated polystyrene resin grafted with Co(acac)2 in combination with Pr-CHO shows a reasonable catalytic activity and selectivity for the oxidation of various cycloalkenes with molecular oxygen under mild conditions. The ratio of epoxidation and allylic oxidation products strongly depends on the structure of the cycloalkenes.
