Abstract

Chemistry of 2-Methylene-2,3-dihydrofuran-3-ones. Part 18. Reaction of Oxalyl Chloride with Acetophenone and Dibenzoylmethane. -Reaction of the title carbonyl compounds (I) and (IV) with excess amounts of oxalyl chloride is shown to furnish heterocyclization products (III) and (V)/(VI), respectively. -(KOZ'MINYKH, E.
