Abstract

Copper-Catalyzed Addition of Nucleophilic Silicon to Aldehydes. -Newly developed chiral copper(I) complexes bearing a bifluoride counteranion are used in the first example of the enantioselective title reaction. This procedure provides fast access to non-racemic α-hydroxysilanes mostly in high enantioselectivities.
