Abstract:Crystal Structure of Tn(IV) Chloride Octahydrate. -[SnCl 4(H2O)2]·6H2O is crystallized from a cold aqueous solution (53.39 wt% SnCl 4) according to the solid-liquid phase diagram (263 K, 2 d). The compound is built-up of SnCl 4(H2O)2 octahedral units and lattice H2O molecules (monoclinic space group C2/c, Z = 4, single crystal XRD) forming a 3D network of O-H···O and O-H···Cl hydrogen bonds between the complex and lattice H 2O. -(HENNINGS, E.; SCHMIDT*, H.; VOIGT, W.; Acta Crystallogr., Sect.
