233ChemInform Abstract The tetra-coordinated boron compounds (V) are prepared from the trialkylboranes (I), 3-aminotriazole (II), and the aromatic nitriles (IV). The complexes are stable towards water and alcohol. Upon treatment of (V) (R: -Pr, Ar: -Ph) with boiling hydrochloric acid in butanol, only the triazolylamidine hydrochloride (VI) is obtained.
