ChemInform Abstract: Electrochemical Insertion of Alkali Metals in Transition Metal Monoxides.

Abstract

ChemInform Abstract It is demonstrated that Li can be electrochemically intercalated into ScO, TiO, and VO, but not into NbO. The diffusion coefficients are estimated to be 10-14-10-11 cm2/s in ScO and TiO and 1-3 orders of magnitude smaller in VO. No significant intercalation of sodium into these hosts is observed.
