Abstract:Electrochemical Synthesis and Structural and Physical Characterization of One-and Two-Electron-Reduced Forms of [SMo 12 O 40 ] 2− . -Controlled potential electrolysis leads to either the one-electron reduced anion α-[SMo 12 O 40 ] 3− or to the two-electron reduced α-[SMo 12 O 40 ] 4− anion. EPR and magnetic data indicate that [SMo 12 O 40 ] 3− is a simple paramagnet but [SMo 12 O 40 ] 4− is EPR silent with temperature dependent magnetic moments, probably arising from exchange coupling and delocalization effect… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
