Abstract:Electrogenerated Acid (EGA)-Catalyzed Addition of Diaryl Disulfides to Carbon-Carbon Multiple Bonds. -Addition of diaryl disulfides (II) to carbon--carbon multiple bonds is accomplished by using a Broensted acid produced by electrolysis of Bu 4N + B(C6F5)in CH2Cl2 as catalyst. The nature of the catalyst is not clear. A cation chain mechanism is discussed. -(MATSUMOTO, K.; SHIMAZAKI, H.; SANADA, T.; SHIMADA, K.; HAGIWARA, S.; SUGA, S.; KASHIMURA, S.; YOSHIDA*, J.-I.; Chem.
