Abstract:Electron-Transfer-Induced Intermolecular [2 + 2] Cycloaddition ReactionsBased on the Aromatic "Redox Tag" Strategy. -Aliphatic cyclic enol ethers undergo novel electron-transfer-induced [2 + 2] cycloaddition with unactivated olefins possessing aromatic "redox tag". The latter also facilitates electron-transfer-induced cycloreversion of cyclobutanes. In contrast to alkoxyphenyl and alkylphenyl groups, aminophenyl and thiophenol units cannot function as aromatic "redox tag". -(OKADA, Y.; NISHIMOTO, A.; AKABA, R.… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
