ChemInform Abstract: Electrophilic Aromatic Substitution. Part 39. Mechanism of the Carbodesilylation of 4‐ or 5‐Substituted 2‐(Trimethylsilyl)pyridines.

Abstract: Electrophilic Aromatic Substitution. Part 39. Mechanism of the Carbodesilylation of 4-or 5-Substituted 2-(Trimethylsilyl)pyridines.-Treatment of 2-(trimethylsilyl)pyridines with Ph-CHO results in formation of products of type (III). It is assumed that this reaction proceeds via ylide intermediates. In addition, a dependence of the reaction rate on substituents and their position is observed. -(EFFENBERGER, F.; KREBS, A.; WILL-RETT, P.; Chem.
