Abstract:of general formula C12H25(OCH2CH2)nOCH2COOH with n = 1‐4 is demonstrated, whereas extraction is not successful with the compound with n = 0. In extractions from aqueous solutions containing ZnCl2, CdCl2, HgCl2, and NaOH, the loading of the organic phase increases with increasing oxyethylene units of the extractants.
