Abstract

Electrolysis of undecanol (II) in the presence of 4‐benzyloxy‐2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidine 1‐oxyl (I) and sodium bromide as recyclable reagents yields the aldehyde (III) and the ester (IV), depending on the amount of the piperidine 1‐oxyl used.
