2002dielectric properties, magnetic properties dielectric properties, magnetic properties D 9000 -016Investigation of the Crystal Structure and Magnetic Properties of Nd 1−x GdxMn 2 Si 2 Compounds.-The title compounds crystallize in the ThCr 2 Si 2 -type structure (space group I4/mmm), as shown by powder XRD. Magnetic measurements reveal antiferromagnetic coupling of the ferromagnetic Mn layers. At temperatures below ≈60 K, the rare earth sublattice orders and the antiferromagnetic coupling of the ferromagnetic Mn layers becomes ferromagnetic.
