Abstract

Reactions of allenyl ethenetricarboxylates (I) and the corresponding amides (III) with Lewis acids, such as AlCl3, AlBr3 and ZnX2 (X = Cl, Br, I) afford 3,4‐trans‐haloalkenyl lactones (III) and lactams (IV)/(V).
