Abstract

The BuLi‐mediated [3,3]‐sigmatropic rearrangement of allyl‐1,1‐dichlorovinyl ethers (I) and (XII) and subsequent quenching with ketones afford desired β‐lactones (III), (V), and (XIII) in moderate to high yields.
