ChemInform Abstract: Magnetic Properties of New Compounds RuMn₂Sn and RuMn₂Si.

Abstract

The title compounds are prepared from the elements (1000-1100°C, 6-9 d) and characterized by powder XRD and magnetic measurements. RuMn2Sn and RuMn2Si crystallize with a Heusler-like cubic structure (space group F43m). RuMn2Sn shows ferrimagnetic behavior with a Curie temperature of 272.1 K and RuMn2Si exhibits spin-glass behavior with a freezing temperature of about 50 K. -(ENDO, K.; KANOMATA*, T.; NISHIHARA, H.; ZIEBECK, K.
