Abstract: The kinetic study (stopped‐flow and pulsed‐accelerated‐flow measurements) shows that both OCl‐ and HOCl react with CN‐ and that HOCl is 3.9·106 times more reactive than OCl‐ (reaction mechanisms are proposed and rate constants are given).
