Abstract

Novel Synthesis of 2-Arylbenzothiazoles.-A simple and convenient procedure for the synthesis of the title compounds (III) (7 examples) by reaction of o-aminothiophenol with dibenzyl disulfides, benzyl thiols or thiosulfates is developed.
