ChemInform Abstract: One‐Pot Syntheses of 2‐(2‐Sulfanyl‐4H‐3,1‐benzothiazin‐4‐yl)acetic Acid Derivatives via Reactions of 3‐(2‐Isothiocyanatophenyl)prop‐2‐enoic Acid Derivatives with Thiols or Sodium Sulfide.

Abstract: Sulfide. -Title compounds can be synthesized by two different pathways. First, they are directly obtained by reaction of (isothiocyanatophenyl)propenoates (I) with thiols (II). For the second method, the same starting material is treated with sodium sulfide and followed by addition of alkyl or aryl halides and after work-up with aqueous NH4Cl target compounds are isolated in good yields.
