Abstract: Optical resolution of racemic stilbenediamine (Stien) was performed by recrystallization of its diastereomeric adducts with ortho-paLladated (6)-N-isopropyl-ct-methylbenzylamine.The less soluble (ScRN,SS) diastereomer was studied by X-ray diffraction analysis.
