Porphyrins with Exocyclic Rings. Part 16. Synthesis and Spectroscopic Characterization of Fluoranthoporphyrins, a New Class of Highly Conjugated Porphyrin Chromophores. -The title compounds (VIII) and (XI) are prepared in order to test the influence of fused aromatic rings on the absorptions behavior of porphyrins.
