Abstract

Preparation of 2-Deoxyaldoses from Aldose Phenylhydrazones.-Reduction of acetylated 1-phenylazo-1-alkenes (cf. (I)) with sodium borohydride produces 2-deoxy-phenylhydrazones (cf.
