ChemInform Abstract: Pyrophosphate‐Bridged CuII Chain Magnet: {[Na3Cu(P2O7)(NO3)] ·3H2O}n.

Abstract: The new title compound (III) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/m with Z = 2 (single crystal XRD). The structure contains pyrophosphate-bridged Cu II ···Cu II chains. Each Cu atom is octahedrally surrounded by four O atoms of two bridging P2O7 groups in the bis-bidentate coordination mode and two O atoms of two nitrate groups.
