ChemInform Abstract: Reaction of 1,1‐Bis(trimethylsilyl)‐2‐phenylethylene with Some Acyl Chlorides in the Presence of AlCl3.

Abstract: Organo-silicon compounds S 0060Reaction of 1,1-Bis(trimethylsilyl)-2-phenylethylene with Some Acyl Chlorides in the Presence of AlCl 3 . -The yields of the desired enones (III) are dependent on the amounts of AlCl3 and on the reaction time. The formation of the undesired ketones (IV) cannot be completely suppressed under the optimized conditions. In the case of benzoyl and crotonyl chlorides, only unsaturated ketones are isolated. -(SAFA*, K. D.; SAMANI, S. P.; TOFANGDARZADEH, S.; HASSANPOUR, A.; J. Organomet.
