Abstract

ChemInform Abstract Sulfurization reaction of the diketo sulfide (I) with Lawesson's reagent results in the formation of the trithiabicycloheptane (II) and the isomeric 1,4-dithiins (III) and (IV). In contrast, the thioether (V) forms only the 2,6-disubstituted 1,4-dithiin (VI).
