Abstract: The reactions of a mixture of NO2(g) and O2(g) with 16 metal oxides and two hydroxides are followed with TG and DTA in order to evaluate the possibility to Form anhydrous nitrates in metallurgical ores which can then be H2O‐leached as a part of a metal recovery process.
