ChemInform Abstract: Regiospecific 1,4‐Addition with Grignard‐Derived Mixed Triorganozincate Reagents.

Abstract

ChemInform Abstract Reaction of the α,β-unsaturated ketones (I) with mixed triorganozincates, derived from ZnCl2•TMEDA, MeLi (II), and the organomagnesium chlorides (III), yields mainly the 1,4-adducts (IV), togehter with small amounts of the 1,2-adducts (V) and the methylated analogues (VI) and (VII).
