ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis and Antibacterial Activity of [6,5,5] and [6,6,5] Tricyclic Fused Oxazolidinones.

Abstract: Synthesis and Antibacterial Activity of [6,5,5] and [6,6,5] Tricyclic Fused Oxazolidinones.-Novel title compounds, e.g. (VII) and (VIII), are prepared and tested for their antibacterial activity. It is shown that in the (6,5,5) series the trans-isomers are more or less potent; the most active compound is (VII).
