ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis and Luminescence Properties of Novel Red‐Emitting R3P4O13:Bi2+ (R: Sr and Ba) Phosphors.

Abstract: R: Sr and Ba) Phosphors. -M 3P4O13:xBi 2+ (M: Sr, Ba; x = 0-4 mol%) are prepared by sintering stoichiometric mixtures of SrCl 2 (BaCl2), NH4H2PO4, and Bi2O3 in air (alumina crucible, 1. 300 C, 2 h, 2. 850 C, 2 h). The compounds has a layered structure (triclinic, space group P1, Z = 2, powder XRD) containing MO7 polyhedra and P 4 anions composed of four PO4 tetrahedra.
