Abstract

Synthesis of 1-Aryl-1,3-diyne and 2-Aryl-1,1-dialkynylethene from the Sonogashira Reactions of 2-Aryl-1,1-dibromoethene.-The Sonogashira coupling reaction of dibromoethene (I) with alkynol (II) provides products (III)-(V) in varying ratios depending on the reaction conditions. Among the modified reaction parameters, both the solvent polarity and the nature of the amine bases (used as reaction solvent) have significant impact on the product ratio. -(
