Synthesis of 3-Methyl-2-cyclohexenones Catalyzed by Mercury(II) Salts and Their Microwave Assisted BiCl3 Catalyzed AldolCondensations. -Treatment of 1,6-heptadiynes with water in the presence of HgSO4and TfOH allows mild access to 3-methyl-2-cyclohexenones.
