Abstract

Synthesis of New Bis(p-(phenylethynyl)phenyl)hetarylenes and Bis(p-( phenylglyoxalyl)phenyl)hetarylenes.-The synthesis of new bis(p-(phenylethynyl)phenyl)hetarylenes (III) by cross-coupling of dibromoarenes (I) with phenylacetylene (II), and their oxidation to the corresponding p-(phenylglyoxalyl)phenyl derivatives (IV) is presented. -(KESHTOV, M.
