Abstract

Polycrystalline samples of compositions between Ga8Ge2Te11 and Ga6Ge4Te11 are prepared from the elements (evacuated quartz tubes, 1170 K, 2 h) from which single crystals are grown by transport in a small temperature gradient (average 960 K).
