Abstract: 005ChemInform Abstract In order to understand the evolution of the system in the temp. range 1150-850 rc C, a cast alloy of the composition Sm(Co0.69Fe0.22Cu0.06Zr0.03)7.2 (corresponding to a composition range known to provide good magnetic properties) is exposed o various heat treatments. The aged alloys are investigated by TEM and EDX microanalysis. The specimens treated at 1050 rc C contain a mixture of Sm2Co17 and Sm2Co7 type phases.
