Abstract

The Ternary Sm-Fe-Sn System: Phase Diagram, Structural Characterization, and Magnetic Properties of Ternary Compounds.-The 670 K isothermal section of the phase diagram of the title system is presented. The presence of Sm 6 Fe 13 Sn and SmFe 0.33 Sn 2 is confirmed and a new ternary compound, SmFe 6 Sn 6 , is identified. Crystal structures and magnetic properties of these compounds are studied.
