Abstract:Trifluoroacetylation of Methylpyridines and Other Methylazines: A Convenient Access to Trifluoroacetonylazines. -Treatment of methyl substituted azines (I) with trifluoroacetic anhydride (II) gives the corresponding trifluoroacetonyl substituted azines (III) in good yields. NMR investigations reveal that most of the products exist in the enol form. -(KAWASE, M.; TESHIMA, M.; SAITO, S.; TANI, S.; Heterocycles 48 (1998) 10, 2103-2109; Fac. Pharm.
