Abstract:Reductive Carbonylation of the gem‐dibromocyclopropanes (I) is achieved by treatment with tetracarbonylnickel (IV) in the presence of the amines (II), the alcohols (V), imidazole (VII) and the thiols (IX) leading to the cyclopropanecarboxylic acid derivatives shown in the scheme.
