Abstract

Azetidine derivatives R 0045 β-Lactam Derivatives as Enzyme Inhibitors: Halogenated β-Lactams and Related Compounds. -A variety of substituted β-lactams are synthesized from appropriate imines (I) via Reformatsky-like [→(III)] or modified Staudinger reactions. Some of the products show weak activity as elastase inhibitors.
