Chemomechanical Polishing of Silicon Carbide

Abstract: In an effort to improve silicon carbide (SIC) substrates surfaces prior to epitaxial growth, two chemomechanical polishing (CMP) techniques were investigated and the results were compared with a mechanical polishing procedure involving various grades of diamond paste.
