While certainly not all people who are sad and anxious have a clinically relevant mental disorder, quantitative studies measuring a¡ective and stress related disorders in Burundi (with standardised rating scales) indicate high levels of depression, anxiety disorder and PTSD (Jordans et al, 2012;Tol et al, 2014;Ventevogel, Komproe, Jordans, Feo & De Jong, 2014;Yeomans, Forman, Herbert & Yuen, 2010).
