The modern global education system is undergoing significant changes due to globalization and integration, the development of innovative technologies, and the emergence of new approaches, teaching methods, new concepts and trends in the educational sphere. The issue of developing communicative competence, which includes the ability to express concepts, thoughts, feelings, facts and views through forms of language activity and, in particular, through reading and its interpretation, is particularly relevant. Given the outlined above, the problem of introducing innovative methods of teaching reading into the practice of a modern primary school is of particular relevance nowadays. Dynamic effective reading is extremely significant since teaching students to read correctly in a timely manner is the first step in achieving the main goal of teaching children to read thoughtfully, silently and at an acceptable level of dynamic reading as the basis for independent understanding of the information space an d the environment in general. The purpose of the academic paper is to determine the place of the student's reading competence in the system of pedagogical and educational objectives, to outline the features of developing this type of skill based on the resul ts of psychological, pedagogical, theoretical, literary and methodological studies of students' reading activity conducted by scientists. In addition, the research aims to outline the key trends in modern scientific studies on developing reading competence, as well as to highlight the features of effective development of students' reading competence in the conditions of integrated learning. In the course of the research, the analytical and bibliographic methods and the method of system analysis were used to study the concept and structure of forming the reading competence. Along with this, analysis, synthesis of information, detailing and com parison were applied to identify the major features of reading skills with a focus on their development in integrated learning. M oreover, logical and linguistic methods, abstraction and idealization were used to study and process the results of research by domest ic and foreign scientists on the formation of primary school students' reading competence. Based on the research results, the main most important theoretical aspects of the issue of forming students' reading competence, namely, the concept and structure of this type of skill, have been established. Another significant target direction of the scientific article is studying scholars' viewpoints on the key modern vectors of the process of teaching reading.Keywords: competent reader, reading competence, structure of teaching reading, innovative methods of teaching reading, integration of learning activities, integrated training courses.Resumo. Nowadays, the introduction of the latest means of development of early childhood education institutions is connected with the general trends of innovation processes in the economy and new social standards. The publication of new textbooks, and manuals, as well as equipping higher pedagogical education institutions with computer technology should meet the requirements of the development of new material bases and the challenges of professional development of early childhood teachers. Under such requirements, the goals, content, conditions, and expected consequences of the innovative development of the educational process in early childhood education institutions are being developed. The article aims to characterize the main directions and features of scientific research in the field of innovative development of the educational process carried out in early childhood education institutions. In the course of organizing and conducting both theoretical and practical components of this study, the analytical and bibliographic method was applied to study the scientific literature on the educational process in early childhood education institutions. Analysis, synthesis, induction, and deduction were employed in the processing of scientific information. System-structural, comparative, logical, and linguistic methods, abstraction, and idealization were used to study and process data. Moreover, the questionnaire survey served in the practical establishment of certain aspects of innovative processes in the field of education in preschool institutions. Based on the results of the study, the theoretical aspects of innovating the process of upbringing in preschool education have been studied. Moreover, the most essential factors, stages, and components of this process from the standpoint of its subjects have been clarified.

This article contributes knowledge concerning how the use of cameras as a digital resource can offer children participation and agency in the everyday education practice of preschool. The data is retrieved from three different research studies, and the analytical approach focuses on children's interaction with cameras as a photographic and cinematic resource. The data is analysed following multimodality (Goodwin, 2000; Jewitt, 2014) and using a participation model (Szönyi & Söderqvist Dunkers, 2020). The analyses carried out are based on re-analyses of previously produced data. Theoretically, the study is contextualised within the sociology of childhood, where one of the basic assumptions is that children are regarded as co-constructors with opportunities and abilities to independently act, interpret and reinterpret their lives (Corsaro, 2018). The results show that children's interaction with cameras as a digital resource enables participation in everyday practice from several aspects. Children's agency and participation become visible in the children's interaction with the camera function and between children and children, children and educators, where laughter, gazes, gestures, silence and the development of digital competence are part.
