Children with Usher syndrome: mental and behavioral disorders

However, small case reports suggest that children with CHARGE syndrome (coloboma, heart defect, atresia choanae or choanal atresia, retarded growth and development, genital abnormality, and ear abnormality), 15 children with congenital cytomegalovirus, 16 and children with Usher syndrome 17 may have a higher risk of having an ASD.
