The development of information technology makes music education in colleges and universities face opportunities and challenges, and the digital reform of music has become a hotspot of concern in the education sector. This paper proposes a music education teaching model based on the SPOC teaching platform and builds a personalized recommendation model for music teaching resources by combining ontology modeling and context awareness. Students’ interests and preferences are modeled using music ontology knowledge, and their similarity is expressed based on context awareness to achieve effective recommendations for music teaching resources. The effectiveness of the SPOC teaching model in the digital transformation of music education can be verified by implementing music teaching cases based on SPOC. The hit rate of the recommendation model when TopN is 20 is 2.18% higher than that of the KGAT model, which performs suboptimally. The mean value of students’ performance in the experimental class on the comprehensive music composition work was 12.47, and the mean value of students’ scores in the experimental class under the dimension of teaching interaction was the highest at 12.51±1.19, which possessed a significant difference at the 1% level compared with the control class. The integration of the SPOC teaching platform with information technology and music education can facilitate digital transformation, effectively innovate music teaching methods, and enhance the core literacy of music education talents.
