Chiral Phase Transition Scenarios from the Vector Meson Extended Polyakov Quark Meson Model

Abstract: Chiral phase transition is investigated in an SU (3) L ×SU (3) R symmetric vector meson extended linear sigma model with additional constituent quarks and Polyakov loops (extended Polyakov quark meson model). The parameterization of the Lagrangian is done at zero temperature in a hybrid approach, where the mesons are treated at tree-level, while the constituent quarks at 1-loop level. The temperature and baryochemical potential dependence of the two assumed scalar condensates are calculated from the hybrid 1-l… Show more

“…The values for these parameters, used in the present study, are tabulated in Table I below. Recent studies [49,50] suggest that better consistency with recent lattice results can be achieved in the T < T c region, by extending the model within the vector meson sector. Such an extension was not included in this work and is not expected to strongly affect the qualitative conclusion.…”

“…The parameters values used in the current study, are listed in Table . I below. Different studies [34,35] indicate that extending the PQM model with the vector meson sector will help to accomplish better agreement with LQCD at T < T c . Such correction was not included in this work and shall be discussed in future work.…”
