Chlamydial pneumonia in the low birthweight neonate.

Abstract: SUMMARY Five low birthweight neonates who developed a severe pneumonia are described. Chlamydia trachomatis was isolated from the respiratory tract of all infants. They had protracted respiratory problems despite eradication of the organism by chemotherapy.
