Cholera Acidosis and Its Therapy

Abstract: Acidosis is now generally known to be present in various diseases, such as diabetes, nephritis, uremia, and when violent diarrhea and vomiting occur clinically, there is also a rapid decrease in the body fluids. In most cases of cholera, the victim falls into a state of temporary inanition, and in consequence of the action of the toxin on the kidneys, so-called cholera nephritis very often develops.
