Cholesterol and ApoE in Alzheimer’s disease

Abstract: Genetic, neuropathological and biochemical studies suggest strong links between cholesterol, the apolipoprotein E (APOE) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD), both in humans and in animal models of the disease.
