Abstract:Ninety strains of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolated from fermented foods and bark of Tamarindus indica were screening cholesterol-lowering effects, selected and identified based on the phenotypic, chemotaxonomic characteristics and 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis.
