Abstract:Although rare, primary chondrosarcoma is the most frequent malignant tumor of the sternum. It commonly manifests as a painful, expanding mass arising from the costochondrosternal junction. Since it is resistant to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, surgical resection with reconstruction is the preferred treatment.
